7th Grade Summer – 8th Grade Fears

I previously thought middle school was a big change, but I got used to it. I like middle school now because in elementary I found it really boring to stay in one class. Now, in middle school, I have 6 different classes for different subjects. I think having all those classes is a good thing because it teaches you how to be responsible, for example, making sure you’re on time and that you are prepared.

I didn’t really do anything huge over the summer.  I did go to the beach one time for about 17 hours, but that resulted in a horrible sunburn! I also went to Six Flags with my friends, but since I am terrified of roller coasters I only went on one ride.  Believe it or not, after that one ride I passed out.

I also went swimming a lot and basically “lived” at my friend’s house because I was there every day.

I thought it would be scary to return to school because of how much people would have changed and also because of the amount of different teachers I would have to accommodate.

In the end I received really great teachers for all my classes, so that was good. This year I am looking forward to hopefully participating in lots of 8th-grade student activities. I also am looking forward to learning new things.
