He also declared three days of national mourning and ordered mosques to hold funeral prayers, known as “Janazah.” King Mohammed IV has addressed the public urging them not to panic about the recent earthquake in Morocco. Today in Morocco there are still challenging searches, funeral prayers held worldwide, and US assistance. In Marrakesh, a historic mosque that once stood tall, now stands off-limits to the public. The mosque, located in the corner of the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, had a beautiful tower which once adorned with white triangle decorations and collapsed during the powerful earthquake that struck on Friday night.

At least 100,000 children were affected by the Marrakesh earthquake. Agencies don’t even know how many children were injured or killed. Thousands of people lost their homes due to the earthquake. Many have been displaced, exposing them to the elements of nature. The people who got caught up in the Marrakesh Earthquake experienced a devastating and traumatic event that left many injured and homeless. Despite the challenges they faced, the community came together to support one another and begin the process of rebuilding and healing.

The Marrakesh earthquake had a significant impact on various areas across the city. The most affected areas were the old town and the Medina, where many historic buildings and structures were damaged or destroyed. The earthquake also caused severe damage to the infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and water supply systems, making it challenging for rescue workers to access the affected areas. Furthermore, many families were left homeless, and the economic activities of the region were disrupted, leading to a significant loss of income for the people. Despite the devastating effects of the earthquake, the people of Marrakesh have shown great resilience and are working tirelessly to recover and rebuild their city.

Somehow, century-old sites in Marrakesh have been destroyed during the earthquake, but new cities have been spared. The Marrakesh earthquake was a tragedy that destroyed many ancient and culturally rich sites. Centuries-old buildings, mosques, and markets were reduced to rubble. However, the newer parts of the city were spared, with modern buildings and infrastructure remaining largely intact. Despite the devastation, the people of Marrakesh came together to rebuild and restore their city, preserving its rich history and culture for future generations to enjoy.

Morocco has been receiving significant support from the international community after the devastating Marrakesh Earthquake. Several countries have offered financial aid, emergency supplies, and medical assistance to help the victims of the earthquake. The United Nations has also pledged its support to Morocco and has sent a team of experts to assess the damage caused by the earthquake. The Moroccan government has expressed its gratitude for the support and solidarity shown by the international community during this difficult time. The country is now focused on providing relief and rehabilitation to those affected by the earthquake and rebuilding the affected areas.

This disaster served as a reminder of the resilience and unity of humanity in times of crisis, and the importance of coming together to assist those in need. We continue to work towards building a safer and more secure world for all.
