Ten Halloween Movies

Getting to know your teachers by learning about their favorite movies.

Since Halloween is coming up, that means Halloween and horror movies start coming back. There are so many different varieties of movies from comedy to entertainment to horror. Today we talked to ten of our amazing teachers and asked them what their favorite Halloween movie is.

1.Mr. Coulson- History teacher

“The Witches of Eastwick, a 1987 comedy. Sorry, you have to wait until you are 18 to watch.”

2. Ms. Kim- Math teacher

“It’s gotta be the original Halloween.”

3. Mrs.Daneshmand- Science teacher

“My favorite Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus ( and I like the first one better than the second one)”

4. Mr. Lewis- English and Yearbook teacher

“ My favorite Halloween movie is Nightmare on Elm Street. I think that’s technically a Halloween Movie…”

5. Dr.Williams- English and Journalism teacher

“It’s a hard one but, Nightmare Before Christmas!”

6. Mrs.Hagopian- English teacher

“My favorite Halloween movie is Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining!”

7. Ms.Hertler- History and Academic Pentathlon teacher

“I don’t actually like Halloween at all but my favorite Halloween-ish movie is definitely the Adams Family!”

8. Mrs.Drucker- Science teacher

“Out of all movies, I would say Nightmare Before Christmas!!”

9. Mrs. Dawson- English teacher

“I’m gonna definitely say Halter Giust! (an original)”

10. Mr. Gayta- English teacher

“I have two, Nightmare on Elmers Street, or I also like Blair Witch Project.”

To sum this up, most teachers have chosen more comedy or entertaining movies, over any horror. There were 2 teachers that said Nightmare Before Christmas, and 2 that said Nightmare on Elmer Street. What’s your favorite horror movie?
