The Science Behind The Solar Eclipse That’s Going To Happen

A Solar Eclipse will occur on October the 14th and here is the science behind the Eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Earth and the Sun casting a shadow over the Earth. They usually occur about twice a year, and only occur during a new moon phase.

People in the continental U.S. will have the chance to see the eclipse at least partially only those in Oregon and southwest will be able to view the “ring of fire”. This eclipse won’t occur again until 2046.

During each 11-year solar cycle the sun changes from its greatest solar energy to the lowest solar energy and when the quantity of charge particles coming off of the sun forms a solar wind, coronal mass injections, and solar flares reach its highest or lowest point.

There are three types of these Solar eclipse partial, annular, and total. The total eclipse is much better than the partial solar eclipse and the annular solar eclipse.
