ST last night, Hurricane Otis touched down near a popular Acapulco resort. Authorities have warned of life-threatening storm surges and the possibility of landslides and flooding from heavy rains. Fortunately, the storm is already beginning to weaken as it makes its way inland.
The storm is already category four and has winds that are reaching 165 mph. Mexico’s national weather agency has also reported that there can be waves reaching 32 feet high along some areas of the coast. There have already been reports of power outages in the city of Guerero.
There have so far been no reported casualties. However, the storm is causing issues in communications so there is difficulty in getting information on the real amount of casualties.
