Yale University

Yale University is a private university located in New Haven, Connecticut. The yearly tuition to attend Yale is about $64,700. If you want to rent a room, it’s an additional $10,900. Yale is best known for its revolutionary research and its diligent students. Some of the most popular majors are engineering sciences, economics, political science, history, English, biological sciences, global affairs, psychology, computer science, and statistics. The acceptance rate is incredibly low at 5.3%! To attend, you are required to have at least a 4.14 GPA.

 

Some interesting facts are, Yale has graduated very important alumni such as 5 U.S Presidents. This includes William Howard Taft, George H.W Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Gerald Ford. 19 U.S Supreme Court Justices also attended Yale. Yale is one of the 9 colonial colleges that has been established in America before the Declaration of Independence. These include Harvard, William and Mary, Yale, Princeton, King’s or Columbia, the University of Pennsylvania, Brown, Dartmouth, and Queen’s or Rutgers. The university offers over 2,000 courses and over 80 majors. The athletics team are known as the ‘Bulldogs’ and they offer a wide variety of sports such as sailing, soccer, tennis, swimming, cross country, lacrosse, ice hockey, and fencing.
