Fredrick X was officially crowned king of Denmark on January 14, 2024, after his mother abdicated. Tens of thousands of people tuned in to watch King Fredrick succeed his mother in a historic moment for Denmark. Frederick begins holding back tears as he sees the enormous crowd. After the Prime Minister of Denmark talked to the crowd for a little, Frederick brought out his Australian-born wife, now named Queen Consort Mary. After they kissed, the children of the couple joined them on the balcony.
