In-N-Out is coming to our school for Eligible 6th & 7th Graders. From 1:19-3:15 pm  on the Honor Court Lawn & Covered Eating Area.

UCLA

University of California, Los Angeles, known as UCLA, is a public university. The yearly tuition is about $13, 250. The acceptance rate is about 9% and you must have at least a GPA of 3.o to attend. The most popular majors include biology, business economics, political science, psychology and psycho-biology. They also offer professional health sciences like dentistry, public health, and medicine. UCLA is known for its academic and athletic superiority.

Some facts about the university are, the university colors, “true blue” and gold, represent the state’s ocean and wildflowers. A live bear would roam the football fields at home games until the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum disallowed it.  UCLA gets the most college applications every year than any other university in the world. Ray Bradbury wrote his book Fahrenheit 451 while wanting to get away from everyday noise in the Powell Library. The campus size is one of the smallest campuses for a university at about 419 acres. UCLA athletes won 121 NCAA team championships, 270 Olympic medals, and students have earned 16 Nobel Laureate prizes.

Some famous alumni are Jackie Robinson, James Dean, Jim Morrison, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Francis Ford Coppola, and more.  Jackie Robinson was the first black MLB player and James Dean was an American actor. Jim Morrison is a singer and songwriter who is famously known for being the lead vocalist for The Doors. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a former basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers and lastly, Francis Ford Coppola is one of the greatest directors of all time! He worked on The Outsiders, The Godfather, Rumble Fish, Dracula, Frankenstein, and more!
