Kenya, an African country experienced a gas explosion, and fire when a truck carrying gas canisters exploded in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. The explosion killed 3 and injured nearly 300 people. The injuries were caused mainly by the fire and destruction of the nearby cars and buildings. After the initial explosion, the gas canisters were sent flying and set fire to many different buildings. Many small businesses and homes were hit by the explosion and fire. The truck carrying the gas came from a gas plant that was illegal because it was very unsafe. Despite this, it seems that they continued to operate, near a heavily populated area. The Gas plant is being held accountable for the explosion and might have to pay the victims. The plant will probably not be able to fully cover the damages, because of just how many buildings and vehicles were destroyed. While the government figures out what to do about the situation, they are offering two months’ rent to the survivors, and will probably charge the Gas Plant because of the damage and chaos they caused because of their greed.
