Getting To Know Our New Resource Specialist Teacher

We have a new Frost member at our middle school. Ms. Pineda will be joining us this year! She is a very nice and kind person and we enjoyed learning more about her with these questions.

Q: If you weren’t a teacher what would you be?

A: If I was not a teacher, I would love to run an orphanage and make a school where kids could learn.

Q: Is this your first year of teaching? If not what other school have you taught at?

A: No, this is not my first time teaching. I’ve taught at James Jordan Middle School from 2014-2023.

Q: What are your favorite hobbies?

A: I love going to Disneyland and traveling the world! Other things I love to do are go shopping, walk, and do road trips.

Q: Why did you choose to teach the subject that you are in now?

A: I teach the subject that I do now because I like teaching 8th graders and helping kids.

Q: Where were you born? What ethnicity are you? What other states have you temporarily lived in?

A: I was born in Westwood, California. I grew up Hispanic.

Q: Do you have any superstitions?

A: I have no superstitions but I like all times of number.

Q: What’s your favorite food and drink?

A: My favorite drink is coffee and my favorite foods are all kinds of Mexican food.

Q: What made you want to become a teacher?

A: I love helping students and tutoring kindergarteners. I was told I was really good at teaching which I agree with.

Q: What is your favorite memory of being a teacher?

A: My favorite memory as a teacher is when students reach out years later and share their test scores in high school and say how good they are doing in school.

Q: What are your favorite artists?

A: My favorite artists are Taylor Swift and Michael Bobway.

Overall, Ms. Pineda is a very great person and has a passion for teaching students. She adores her students and loves to see them succeed in middle school and onwards.
